We were lucky enough to have spent 4 nights here. I have stayed here before and it was just like I remember... amazing. The staff, the facilities, the 'location'. The location right on the lake with morning sunrises and picture perfect sunsets was so special. The first night we were lucky enough to have shared one of the best sunsets I've ever seen with the other people staying here at Lakes Edge and it was so incredibly special. The mornings having breakie on the verandah with the ducks, birdies, and rabbits was super cool, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable with everything we needed. We choice an ensuite room overlooking the lake. We were lucky to have visited during Lupin season where they were all out in bloom and covering the entire park. Very very beautiful and will definitely always come and stay here again and recommend to everyone who want to visit. The shared kitchens were super clean too which was a bonus. One of the best places I've stayed :))

The location is of course the best part, right next to the lake with amazing views!! This was our second time staying here, the first time we had an ensuite cabin and it was lovely. This time it was very busy and even 5 months in advance wasn't early enough and the few ensuite cabins were booked up. We stayed in a private cabin but with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. The bathrooms were often very clean and nice, with shower stalls as well. Inside the cabin we were supplied with our own kitchenware to bring to and from the kitchen, which was really nice so we didn't have to scramble to find bowls etc like in most hostels, and we always knew they were clean. We would definitely stay again but I'd try to book early for an ensuite cabin, just my preference.

We had our own little cabin that overlooked the lake , we had a great view , however, the row of cabins in front of us had an unobstructed view. Some cabins were behind some trees so they couldn't see the lake . The location is great , close to walk into town. We did the hike that was super close to the cabin and it was great , also went to the hot springs just a short walk away . The best thing we did was took a plane ride over to the glaciers and over Lake Tekapo, it was worth the money , do it ! Just walk into town and you will see the store front for scenic helicopter and small plane rides , it was fantastic !

We spent 500 dollar for 1 night in a cozy, lake-view chalet, perching beside "Lakes Edge". It was so lovely. We got private bedrooms, a huge and bright independent bathroom, a kitchen with full set-ups, and a table for the family to have the meal, while appreciating the stunning lakeside evening. Full pressured hot water geysered out from the sprinkler head, shampoo and body wash, cutleries, pots, even condiments... all provided. Anyway, the experience I bought was much more than 500 hundred dollars. Compared to the other hotels and their facilities, it is a fair price and I will suggest it for a family trip.

This was our last overnight after a 2 week road trip before returning to Christchurch. We had been lucky with the weather up until our stay here, The 2 bed chalet was literally across the site road from the lake, couldn't have been better positioned. The king room was further into the site, but still had a lake view. We didn't get to enjoy it because of gale force wind and heavy rain. Would love to return here in better weather, Chalets were spacious, clean and as pictured on this site.
